A Pair of Suspects Charged for Jail Killing of Former Lostprophets Frontman Ian Watkins
A pair of suspects stand accused of murder in the wake of the jailhouse death of former Lostprophets singer and found guilty of child sex crimes Ian Watkins.
Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 stand indicted for homicide and are set to face Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by law enforcement officials.
Watkins, forty-eight, was in the midst of a 29-year prison term at HMP Wakefield, plus an additional six years on license, after confessing to numerous sex crimes including the attempted rape of a baby.
Watkins was arrested after the execution of a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a substantial collection of electronic devices including computers, phones and drives were taken as evidence.
